Local 212 Standing Up For Members

Local 212 leaders recently spoke at the MATC District Board March meeting about a number of concerns currently facing Local 212 members.

  • One is the college's alternating stance on what is to become of the Admissions Navigators who were told in December that they were being promoted to advisors, but are now being given the choice to be demoted or leave; since their current position is being eliminated (remarks begin around 13:00)

  • Local 212 Part Time councilmember, Vida Cross, also addressed the board to give a brief update of members' concerns regarding part time faculty's lack of compensation for attending department meetings on the recent non-student-contact-day (remarks 18:30)

  • Local 212 President Lisa Conley addressed the board about Local 212's findings regarding wage stagnation at MATC (comments at 20:20)
