Retirees and soon-to-be retirees are invited to join Local 212’s Retiree Chapter
Who we are
We are Local 212 retirees and soon-to-be retirees who wish to preserve and pass on our rich union history. We strive to help keep MATC a highly respected institution that effectively meets student and community needs.
What we do
Work with Local 212 on union issues that affect retirees, such as health insurance.
Monitor public policy and legislation related to Social Security, Medicare, and pensions.
Promote friendships and social connections.
Provide opportunities for social activism and community service.
We meet four times a year on the third Friday morning of October, January, April and July.
Also we meet four times a year for breakfast at various restaurants in the Milwaukee area.
