Stand with Workers: Delay NCG Hospitality’s Zoning Request
The American Federation of Teachers Local 212, representing MATC’s 1,400 faculty, professional staff, and public television engineers, is urging city leaders to delay NCG Hospitality’s request for a zoning change to develop the Moxy hotel until it stops union-busting efforts at the Trade Hotel and settles its dispute with the Milwaukee Area Service and Hospitality Workers Union (MASH).
Union jobs are the foundation of strong communities. They provide better wages, job security, and benefits that support workers and their families. Approving projects from companies that attack workers’ rights undermines the economic stability of our city.
We must hold NCG Hospitality accountable. Join us in urging city leaders to stand with workers and delay any new development approvals for NCG until it respects workers’ rights and reaches a fair resolution with MASH.
