Community Ally Anita Johnson Recognized for Voting Rights Work

Local 212 and Local 212 COPE congratulates Ms. Anita Johnson, the 2020 recipient of the Robert H. Friebert Social Justice Award.

Local 212 Executive Board member and MATC Paraprofessional Nyia Sallee, who has worked closely with her, shared, "You often find workers that care about their names shining instead of the causes they stand for. Fighting for the rights of others takes a selfless person. Anita Johnson is a selfless, compassionate, and diligent worker. She has a heart for others and will fight for voters’ rights until her last step and breath."

Thank you Anita Johnson for your partnership with and support for Local 212, and your commitment to Souls to the Polls, VoteRiders, the League of Women Voters, and our community.
