212 Member Alan Goodman At AME
Local 212 member, Alan Goodman is the Lead Faculty for the Quality Engineering Technology program in the STEM Pathway, and recently gave his presentation "Developing the Next Generation of Lean Leaders” to a standing room only crowd at the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME) International Conference in Cleveland, Ohio. This year’s international conference theme was “Reimagining Excellence” and featured keynote speakers, workshops, best practice tours, practitioner presentations and interactive exhibits over 4 days from October 30 - November 2. Alan will be presenting once again in March at the 2024 Lean Summit in Carlsbad, California.
Alan has been faculty at MATC for twelve years and teaches the Lean Principles and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt courses. He’s also worked with Workforce Solutions to provide Lean training to local companies and established the Lean Summer Camps at MATC (this Summer will be year 5). Prior to MATC, Alan was in Corporate America for 20+ years holding leadership positions in various industries with a bulk of his time at GE Capital. Outside of MATC, Alan is married to his wife of 22 years, Lisa and has 3 children.
