Local 212 Members Show UAW Support!

Members of Local 212 joined the UAW picket line last Thursday, October 5 from 4-6 PM for the AFT day of action in support of striking UAW locals in Bay View. We had a great turnout! The UAW workers on the line at the Stellantis Mopar Parts Distribution Center in Bayview were appreciative of the picnic dinner we provided, and buoyed by the level of support shown as our group of over 20 stood in solidarity and walked the picket line with them.

A team of union activists from the Philippines, including Elmer "Ka Bong" Labog, in-town for a presentation fundraiser at the Milwaukee Area Labor Council later in the evening, marched shoulder-to-shoulder with their American counterparts. Read more about their homeland fight HERE
