Fiesha Parker, a FAST Fund recipient, explains the Fund's impact on her life:
I am so thankful for MATC and the FAST FUND!!! With everything going on in the world, with racism and being black, the Pandemic, and the murder of my nephew who was shot several times in June, 2020 has not been a good year for me. On top of all those things I lost my financial aid this semester. I felt like all odds were against me.
That’s when I reached out for help. I was turned away by several other programs offered at MATC but was referred to the FAST FUND. The FAST FUND got me so much help overnight it seems. I got a call from FAST FUND on a Thursday and by Sunday I received an email with funds helping me pay for my classes. This is a dream come true! I’m so thankful that there are people out there who actually care. I cried because this year had been so terrible and I feel like I finally got my breakthrough! Because of you all I feel like I was given a second chance at achieving my goals. I will finish school! I will become a nurse! Thank you.
Please help us help students like Feisha by becoming an Ambassador and promoting the FAST Fund’s Giving Tuesday Campaign and contributing to the FAST Fund.
Thank you.
