Nada Bevic in Memoriam

Nada Bevic, Local 212 Office Manager from 1976-1990, died recently at age 103.

Nada was the office administrator at Local 212, but she was much more than that. She had a strong sense of justice and was a strong union supporter. She developed a one woman show, playing union activist and radical Mother Jones, in full costume. She performed at union functions and for civic groups.

At Local 212, she freely gave her opinions on union matters and was right more often than not. She was a smart and strong woman who helped develop Local 212 as a force in the union movement.

Nada lived in Wauwatosa, and was preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by two sons and many friends. She spent the last ten years of her life in Madison, where her oldest son lives.
