Ceasefire Now

The American Federation of Teachers Local 212 calls for an immediate ceasefire in the war between Israel and Hamas, the release of all hostages, and the delivery of lifesaving food, water, medicine and other resources to the people of Gaza. 

We are opposed to racism, Islamophobia, antisemitism, and hate in all its forms around the world. 

Our union includes Jewish, Muslim, Christian and Hindu members and their families who have been impacted by the recent violence. 

MATC students originate from more than 60 countries, including Palestine and Israel. They are Jewish, Muslim, Christian, Hindu, Sikh, and non-religious. They have a right to live and study in peace knowing that their loved ones are safe and living free of fear, with dignity and respect for their human rights, as well as with access to food, water, shelter, medicine and other human necessities.
