Welcome to Local 212's new Director of Labor Relations, Sam Froiland. Sam has been a Union advocate for NEA affiliates in Wisconsin, Connecticut and Vermont as well as for AFSCME and OPEIU over the last thirty-plus years. It's possible that he was destined to return to the AFT, as he interned in their Organizing Department in Washington, D.C. in 1988.

Having grown up in Milwaukee and attended UW-Madison, Sam is a loyal Brewers/Bucks/Badgers fan. When not involved in Union work, he and his wife Terri love to travel, hike, spend time with their crazy dog and see live music.
