MATC Joins Biohealth Consortium

Local 212 PT Faculty member Sheldon Garrison, along with FT Faculty members Scott Schlipp, Christine Ryan, Jim Kershen and 212 President Lisa Conley (last three pictured above), played a pivotal role in MATC joining a biohealth consortium with the goal of recognition as a Regional Tech Hub. Other consortium members include the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, BioForward Wisconsin, Exact Sciences Corporation, Accuray, Plexus, GE HealthCare, Rockwell Automation, WRTP Big Step, Employ Milwaukee, Madison Area Technical College, the University of Wisconsin System Administration, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the Madison Regional Economic Partnership and Milwaukee7.

Designation as a Regional Tech Hub by the Federal Economic Development Administration could provide Wisconsin access to $50 or $75 million through the 2022 CHIPS and Science Act. To learn more CLICK HERE
