Fall Solidarity Celebration 2023!

Over 50 members gathered to celebrate the start of the fall semester on a busy Thursday in the Great Hall at Best Place on September 14, 2023. Members enjoyed great food, music, and conversation; periodically showing their fun side at the photo booth, with a few dance moves, and a resounding singing of Happy Birthday. Local 212 supporter and Wisconsin State Senator, Chris Larson, also stopped by to provide updates from Madison.

Thanks to event coordinators: VP of Membership Bev Johnson, Office Manager Nicole Tudury, and Project Manager/Organizer Cathy Thum for putting together such a wonderful event. Thanks also to the Best Place staff, and the catering chef and his team for taking such good care of us, especially considering the number of people who stayed until the very end.

As we continue this semester that we have each other's backs, and when times are tough, don't hesitate to reach out to a colleague for support. Likewise, if you see someone struggling, offer your hand to assist. You are not alone. We are stronger together!

Have ideas for future social solidarity events? Or, want to get involved in planning such? Let Bev know bjohnson@local212.org!
