Blackboard Ultra Completely Different
Blackboard Ultra is not just a simple upgrade, but a complete overhaul of the Blackboard software that you are used to. Here are some things you can do to prepare:
Review the Understanding the Changes Guide for an annotated example of the new course layout and tools
Faculty who will be teaching this Summer can get started by taking a look at the Ultra Migration Guide and contacting the Online Learning Department to request either Ultra Course Preview Mode in a past semester course or a Ultra Personal Master Shell
You can Attend our 1-hour workshops or register for our new training course ZERD-190 “Introduction to Blackboard Ultra” to learn about Ultra Course navigation, content design, communication tools, and the Gradebook
Support resources for faculty are also available at the Blackboard Faculty Support Website for Ultra
In addition, the Online Learning department’s faculty liaisons provide instructional guidance for designing quality online learning experiences. They can answer questions about specific Blackboard tasks and edtech tools. See the Faculty Liaison Schedule for their availability
Students whose courses will be delivered in an online format this summer are advised to attend a Student Blackboard Orientation Webinar through Collaborate Ultra
