Evers Calls Special Session to Address Workforce Challenges

Local 212 is supporting Governor Evers' recent call for a special session to address workforce challenges. The session will convene in late September to, in Evers' words, "finish the work on the 2023-2025 biennial budget and pass a comprehensive plan to address our state's chronic workforce challenges."

Included in Evers' workforce plan are an increase in general aid to the WCTS System by 40 million dollars, and a 17.5 million increase in funding for the Wisconsin Grants Program (this includes $3.5 million for the technical college students).
