Faculty and Students Together (FAST Fund)

The FAST (Faculty and Students Together) Fund, is non-profit emergency fund for MATC students. It provides rapid emergency assistance to students with a minimum of red tape.

As MATC Radiology Technician, Jessica Adkinson testified,” This semester is off to another good start. The fast fund was a huge relief. Its financial help allowed me to focus on my studies rather than my financial situation. If it was not for the FAST Fund I would have dropped my classes and returned to full time work so I could get caught up financially. This is a great program that was fast and convenient. Thank you so much for your help.”

The FAST Fund works closely with the MATC Foundation’s Dreamkeepers program to maximize the dollars available to students. The FAST Fund has helped students get Dream Keepers grants; in other cases, it has partnered with the college in assisting students. And in still other cases, the FAST Fund helped students when the college did not.

If a student is experiencing an economic emergency, the first thing they should do is apply for a Dreamkeepers grant. Here is the link for that: https://matc.dreamkeepers.org/

Dreamkeepers is only available to students who receive Pell Grants and only funds one-time emergencies. It takes at least forty-eight hours for a Dream Keepers application to be processed. . If the emergency is eminent, have students should call 414 765-0910 for FAST fund assistance.

The FAST Fund is a separate non-profit organization funded entirely through voluntary contributions.

All donations to the FAST Fund are tax deductible.
